Main Article Content
The Latin American and Caribbean Network of Scientific Researchers (RED ICALC) emerged from the shared vision of Dr. Félix Sixto Pilay Toala, from Ecuador, and Dr. Andrés Ultreras Rodríguez, from Mexico, who in June 2020 identified the urgent need to establish a collaborative network dedicated to scientific research and dissemination in the world. However, it was not until August 2022 that the decision was made to materialize this initiative. At that time, a virtual meeting was called with fellow researchers to discuss the interest and intention of founding this network. During this meeting, the composition of the First Board of Directors for the period 2022-2024 was defined, with Dr. Félix Sixto Pilay Toala and Dr. Andrés Ultreras Rodríguez assuming the roles of President and Vice President, respectively. The official swearing-in took place on September 28, 2022.
